Ever since watching his dad play along to Led Zeppelin’s “Moby Dick” at age 12, Cary knew he wanted to be a drummer. By early high school, he could break down songs by ear, learn drum parts quickly, and memorize entire albums.
With roots in punk and metal, Cary developed a strong technical foundation—including complex time signatures—which later shaped his career as a professional session drummer across a wide range of genres. He believes the best drum arrangements come from knowing exactly when to elevate the vocals, instruments, and energy of a track—while always keeping the song first.
Cary is based in Los Angeles and available for session work, live shows, and touring.
