Hey! I’m Connor and I am the drummer for CAINE – an energetic live band that combines Nu Metal and Pop Punk, check us out on social media – @WeAreCaine. I have been playing drums for over 19 years and I have applied my powerful and groovy drumming in many different musical settings over the years. Thanks to my parents, I grew up listening to bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Queen, but around the age of 9, I became obsessed with Rob Zombie. I noticed that I was tapping along to his music during car journeys with my mum, and so I asked her if I could get a drum kit for Christmas – and I did! At that was it – I would play drums every single day after school for hours to my favourite bands growing up: Rob Zombie, White Zombie, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, AC/DC, Black Stone Cherry, Skid Row and many more. I was and always will be a rocker and a metalhead, and I will continue to hit the drums as loud as humanly possible! During my early 20s, I studied at the most established music schools in the UK – BIMM Bristol, BIMM London and ICMP London, which really allowed me to develop my technique further and push my drumming to the next level. I also studied privately with some of the best drummers in the UK – Jason Bowld (Bullet For My Valentine), Dan Foord (SikTh), Robert Brian (Siouxsie Sioux) and Gábor Dörnyei (Thriller Live). I really enjoy passing on the education that I’ve received and I have ran a successful drum teaching practice for over 7 years. Right now, I am the drummer for CAINE and we have been recording new material, which we can’t wait to release later this year. We are also gigging across the country, so check us out and come and support emerging bands and hang out with us at a gig! Aside from heavy metal/rock music, I really enjoy listening to classical music and watching operas at the Royal Opera House and I also have a degree in Biomedical Sciences
