Hi! My name is Dom and I play the Drums in The Wurzels. I started with the band in December of 2021 when sadly, we lost the original drummer John Morgan to Covid. I started playing drums when I was 8 years old when my dad taught me a ‘Paradiddle’. From then, the passion was ignited. From the age of 13 I was actively seeking out bands to play with and I settled into my first proper band, Cousin Buzz. After 7 years of playing in bands and touring, I decided to take a step back from playing to pursue a career in Live Sound Engineering. Working for bands and venues in the South West of the UK this slowly started becoming my living. After a few years, I started working as a Monitor Engineer for The Wurzels, working very closely with their drummer, John Morgan. Having studied his drumming first hand I was asked if I could fill in a few shows due to absence. I obliged and the rest as they say, is history. With big shoes to fill, I stepped up and started gigging hitting the festival circuit hard playing over 20 festivals and approximately 50 other shows every year.
