Born and raised in the streets of Paris, Leo Leglise Lowenthal was drawn to the power and rebellion of rock music from an early age. His fascination with the drums began when he stumbled upon his father's old vinyl
collection, featuring classic albums from bands like The Police, Deep Purple, and
AC/DC. From that moment on, he was hooked.
As a teenager, Leo spent countless hours honing his skills, pounding away on a beat-up drum kit with a ferocity that belied his young age. Inspired by the raw intensity of rock, 80’s metal, grunge and the technical prowess of progressive rock, he developed a style that was uniquely his own—a perfect blend of precision and passion.
However, practicing for hours every day wasn’t enough. He had to challenge himself. He created a funk band, to discover new horizons, and at the same time entered the prestigious music school : Conservatoire de Versailles, where he graduated with honours.
It wasn't long before Leo’s talent caught the attention of other musicians, and he soon found himself playing gigs in smoky clubs and dingy basements across the city. But it was a chance encounter that would change Leo's life. As soon as he met his fellow musicians from HARSH, he started playing bigger and bigger shows, tours and recording cd’s.
Over the years, Leo toured across Europe and UK, headlining shows, festivals, but also opening for world famous bands (Anvil, The New Roses, Blackrain, Inglorious, Chris Holmes). In addition of shows and recordings, he has been teaching for years, having dozens of students every year in several music schools as well as in private lessons.
For Leo, success is not about fame or fortune—it’s only about the music. Whether he is laying down a thunderous backbeat or driving a crowd into a frenzy with a blistering drum solo, his passion for rock and roll burns bright, igniting the souls of all who hear him play.
