BIO

I started playing drums in high school at the age of 14 after watching Tre Cool perform on Green Day’s ‘Bullet in a Bible’ DVD. I loved his energy and personality behind the kit and was instantly hooked on the idea of being a drummer. Since around 2010/11 I’ve been active on the gigging circuit, performing with many great bands over the last decade or so. From Sleaze Rock with Karma Slave to Electronic Goth styles with Zeitgeist Zero, I’ve managed to cover some good ground musically. I managed to get my first taste of touring Europe and recording my first full-length album; ‘Ghosts of Victory’ with the latter of the two. But Extreme Metal is my home. Starting with joining Blackened Death Metal outfit Sathamel in 2013. Together we recorded a live demo, an EP and played some high profile shows with the likes of Fleshgod Apocalypse, Belphegor and Akercocke, as well as opening the mainstage of the prestigious Incineration Festival in 2017. The following year I moved on from Sathamel and joined up with Symphonic Black Metallers Formicarius, where we spent a good year rehearsing before playing a string of shows in the UK alongside great UK acts and a support slot with Asagraum. We also closed 2019 with the bands first ever overseas show in Malta. All the while, with Wyrdstæf we brought our atmospheric, Paleolithic-themed Black Metal to the amazing Warhorns Festival for two years in a row and more recently, Wyrdstæf opened the show at the Barbican in York, supporting Gaahl’s Wyrd and Tyr at the Descended from Odin Jorvik Takeover event – playing to our biggest crowd to date! Come February 2020, I was invited and gladly accepted the offer to take my place on the drum stool for UK Black Metal legends Hecate Enthroned, with shows and festivals booked throughout the UK and Europe for 2021. (sorry if that’s too long!)
