Drumming has been a monumental part of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether I'm watching a live performance or listening to my favourite records, my attention has always gravitated towards the drums. The rhythms, the energy, the intricacies of someone's playing — they've captivated me from the very beginning.

My journey behind the kit started in my early teens, sparked by something seemingly simple: my mum's love of music. Her extensive CD collection unknowingly opened the door to what would become one of the greatest passions of my life. She gave me more than just an introduction to music; she gave me the opportunity, encouragement and space to pursue it. Without her, I wouldn't have had my first drum kit, let alone a home where I could make an ungodly amount of noise learning to play it!

To me, drumming has never been just about playing an instrument. It's an outlet, a form of expression and, above all, therapy. There's an indescribable satisfaction in unlocking a challenging groove, mastering a new rudiment or pushing beyond what you thought you were capable of. There's the cathartic release of sitting behind the kit after a difficult day, and then there's the sheer euphoria of performing live — an adrenaline rush unlike anything else I've ever experienced. Drumming has been my constant through so many chapters of my life, and I genuinely can't imagine who I'd be without it.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of playing in numerous bands, performing on stages across the UK and sharing unforgettable experiences with some incredibly talented musicians. Every project has shaped me as a drummer, but none has felt quite as natural or exciting as my current band, NIGHT THIEVES.

Our music fits my playing style like a tailored suit. The combination of crushing riffs, intricate rhythms, soaring melodies and raw emotion gives me the freedom to explore everything I love about drumming. It's challenging, expressive and immensely rewarding.

Our new album, METAXIS, is an absolute powerhouse — a relentless fusion of intensity, atmosphere and melody that represents some of our most ambitious and exciting work to date. It's a record we're immensely proud of, and one that has pushed us creatively and musically to new heights.

With more music, exciting live performances and some incredible opportunities on the horizon, I couldn't be more excited about what the future holds. If there's one thing I've learned throughout this journey, it's that my passion for drumming only continues to grow.

And I have absolutely no intention of slowing down.
