Born in 1977 in Helsinki, Finland. Santeri started taking classical piano lessons at the age of 5 but was really more interested in drums … got his first kit at 10 years old and started taking lessons too. After high school he studied a few years in Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory and while studying, started freelancing, although working with his own bands, playing original music, was always main pursue. Gigs with different bands and artists in clubs, pubs, boats, private parties, arenas, festivals, in Finland and internationally. Fast forward to Spring 2015, a progressive rock/metal group Wheel was founded and very soon after it became his number one focus. So far Wheel has released three EP’s and two full length albums and are currently working on their third. They have played all over Europe multiple times and toured the US for the first time in Autumn 2022.
