Tommy Cook, the drummer for Polly O’Keary and The Rhythm Method, a nationally touring blues-rock trio, has been an internationally touring country, blues, and blues-rock drummer for more than two decades. From beginning as a teen playing in church, high school jazz, and marching band, Tommy played all over the state of Alaska, where he grew up until he moved to Seattle as a part of the grunge explosion of the 1990s. He began touring internationally in 2008 8 as a part of the Blues Music Award-nominated trio, Too Slim and The Taildraggers. Tommy has received recognition from the Washington Blues Society and was awarded the best blues drummer for the years 2017, 2019, and 2021. He currently is a mentor coach for United By Music North America, a performance-based program for musically talented people with developmental and intellectual challenges and delays. He’s a studio drummer, producer, and recording engineer out of his home studio, T-Flav Studios. Tommy also teaches and studies at Seattle Drum School located in Lake City, WA.
