About Casey
Casey started playing drums in 1991 and immediately threw himself into the DIY punk scene, where he was soon not only playing in bands but promoting shows, doing sound, recording other artists, and writing for local publications. His first international tour came in 1996, and he has never looked back.
He founded Echo Base Studio, where he has recorded well over 1,500 sessions across 28 years as a professional producer and engineer — a body of work that speaks for itself. Alongside his studio career, Casey is a skilled songwriter, vocalist, bassist, and guitarist, making him an unusually versatile collaborator.
In 2014, Casey joined long-time friends Belvedere, one of Canada's most respected punk rock acts. Since then he has helped write and record multiple critically acclaimed albums, including Revenge of the Fifth (2016) and the band's seventh album, Seven Years of Bad Luck, both of which were supported by extensive worldwide touring.
With thousands of shows played across dozens of countries, Casey brings a calm, seasoned professionalism to every engagement — live or in the studio.
