About Julien

Julien started drumming 14 years ago, taking his first lessons at his local town harmony, the Lannemezan Harmonie du Plateau, where he studied for eight years and earned his final diploma, the DFE. From the start, his motivation was simple: to play live with his brother and his mates.

Today he drums for three active bands — BIAS (melodic punk rock, Toulouse), Ben&Fist (French punk rock, Auch), and Dirty Fonzy (punk rock, Albi) — as well as cover projects including Blink 131 and Seum Party One. He also runs the YouTube channel Ju DrumsAreCool, where he posts drum covers and live drum-cam footage across a wide range of styles.

Along the way, he has recorded several albums and played some serious stages. His highlights include performing at Hellfest and Xtreme Fest, and opening for acts such as Sum 41, NOFX, Propagandhi, Teenage Bottlerocket, Dead To Me, Get Dead, Les Sheriff, AQME, Uncommonmenfrommars, and Not Scientists. He's hungry for the next chapter.
