About Leo

Born and raised in Paris, Leo Leglise Lowenthal was drawn to rock music from an early age. The discovery of his father's vinyl collection — featuring albums from The Police, Deep Purple, and AC/DC — set everything in motion. As a teenager he spent hours at the kit, developing a style shaped by hard rock, eighties metal, grunge, and progressive rock.

Refusing to stay within a single genre, he formed a funk band to broaden his musical horizons and simultaneously enrolled at the prestigious Conservatoire de Versailles, graduating with honours. That combination of street-level gigging and formal training gave Leo a versatility that quickly attracted other musicians.

The pivotal moment came when he connected with his bandmates in HARSH. From smoky Parisian clubs and basement venues, the band scaled up rapidly — headlining shows, playing major festivals across Europe and the UK, and opening for internationally recognised acts including Anvil, The New Roses, Blackrain, Inglorious, and Chris Holmes. Alongside the live work, Leo has been active in the studio, recording and releasing with HARSH throughout that time.
