Fredrik Jansson: session drummer for hire in Sweden

Fredrik Jansson is a seasoned Swedish drummer available for live hire — whether that's a one-off gig or a full international tour. Currently holding the drum stool in Angel Witch, Fredrik brings serious pedigree to every stage he steps onto, with a CV that spans some of the most respected names in heavy and blues-based rock.

Services Offered

• Live hire — individual gigs
• Live hire — full tours
• International travel — Fredrik is willing to travel outside Sweden for the right project

Genres and Style

Fredrik's world is rooted in 70s blues-based rock: warm, swinging, and unashamedly vintage in feel. He understands the groove and dynamics that make that era's music breathe — the kind of playing that serves the song without sacrificing power. If your project sits anywhere in the territory of classic hard rock, heavy blues, or retro-leaning heavy music, Fredrik is wired for it.

Based in Sweden

Fredrik is based in Sweden and available to cover live work across Scandinavia and beyond — within reach of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Oslo, and Copenhagen, as well as the wider European touring circuit. His willingness to travel internationally means geography is rarely a barrier; if the project calls for it, Fredrik can be on a plane.

About Fredrik

Fredrik's drumming story reads like a who's who of Scandinavian rock. He currently holds the drum chair in three active projects: Angel Witch, Lugnet, and Wooden Fields. Before that, he served time in some enormously well-regarded outfits — Witchcraft, Abramis Brama, and Noctum among them — each with its own devoted following and a commitment to honest, heavy, organic rock music. That breadth of experience across multiple active bands means Fredrik is comfortable adapting to different dynamics, setlists, and touring demands while always bringing a consistent, reliable presence behind the kit.

With years of live performance behind him in bands that tour seriously and record with intention, Fredrik knows what it takes to represent a project properly on stage — from rehearsal through to the final night of a run.
