Who is Marcus Johansson?

Marcus Johansson is a Stockholm-based rock drummer available for live gigs, full tours, studio sessions, and remote recording work. If you need a seasoned, touring-proven drummer who can deliver in the studio as well as on stage, Marcus is well worth your attention.

Genres and Style

Marcus is rooted firmly in rock, with a background that stretches from the fuzz-heavy desert rock of Truckfighters through to the dark, industrial metal world of Deathstars. That range tells you a great deal: he is equally comfortable locking in a heavy, relentless groove as he is adapting to the demands of a more polished modern rock production. Whether your project calls for punishing live power or a carefully tracked studio performance, Marcus has the experience to deliver.

Based in Sweden

Marcus is based in Stockholm, giving him easy access across Sweden and the wider Scandinavian region. He is also open to international travel, meaning he can cover tours and sessions well beyond Scandinavia — across Europe and further afield. For projects where travel is not practical, his home studio setup means remote session work is a straightforward option, with no compromise on quality.

About Marcus

Stockholm based rock drummer Marcus Johansson has been playing drums since the age of 15. Over the course of his career he has played and toured with Truckfighters, Palace, and Adrenaline Rush — bands that have taken him across continents and into serious international touring circuits. He is currently active with two acts: industrial metal band Deathstars, and Reach, his own modern rock band. It is a schedule that reflects both his versatility and his commitment to performance at the highest level. Marcus plays LDC's 2B sticks, bringing that same attention to feel and touch into every session and show.
